Southern Carpet, Hardwood and Tile is very pleased to have been a part of the Champions Place luxury condominium development in Tuscaloosa. Poole and Company was the architect on this project, and Robins and Morton was the construction manager. It was a pleasure to work alongside the staffs of these two companies as we completed the flooring and interior finishes.
Champions Place is located at the corner of Hackberry Lane and 11thStreet in Tuscaloosa, just steps away from Bryant-Denny Stadium. These condominiums are designed for the fans of the Alabama Crimson Tide, and they reflect the excellence that is found in the athletics programs at the University.
The Champions Place residences feature high-end appliances and luxury finishes, as well as gated and covered parking and a fitness center. Each unit also has a 400 square foot balcony adjacent to the living area that is perfect for entertaining.
Southern Carpet, Hardwood and Tile installed 20,000 square feet of porcelain floor and wall tile, 20,000 square feet of floating luxury vinyl tile, 30,000 square feet of hardwood, and 4,600 square feet of carpet. We installed porcelain floor tile for the bathroom and shower floors, and wall tile for the tub and shower surrounds. We also installed the kitchen backsplash tile, 7” hand scraped hardwood and luxury floating plank. Finally, we installed carpet for the fitness center and common hallways.
The products used on this project were all high-end premium materials, and our ability to secure these materials and install them with expertise was key to our ability to complete this project on time and at budget. Our commitment to excellence in the products we use, and in our workmanship was reflected throughout this project, and we were proud to be a part of such a prestigious development.
Our work on the Champions Place development was awarded the 2017 ABC Excellence in Construction Award for Interior Finishes.
